Clearwater CRA In addition, major upscale residential have opened their doors. It’s all coming together in a gem that is once again beginning to sparkle.

The city of Clearwater’s Community Redevelopment Agency aims to promote Downtown Clearwater’s ongoing neighborhood revitalization through programs and initiatives that strengthen and stimulate our local economy and environment. Downtown Clearwater, historically the Pinellas County seat and center of commercial and social activity on Florida’s West Coast, now known as the Cleveland Street District in downtown Clearwater has a $10+ million streetscape. Just east of the Clearwater Harbor bluff, it is the perfect setting for the unique mix of shopping and dining enterprises that are restoring and preserving the district's distinctive character. A public art program and world class live entertainment at the Capitol Theatre offer pleasures for the eyes and ears and lushly landscaped medians and sidewalks provide cool places in an urban setting. The Clearwater Harbor Marina creates a vital link between the District’s new enterprises and the city’s spectacular waterfront.

Apparently, Clearwater takes its public art very seriously.

What looked like a giant seahorse being stolen was actually artist Robin Morgan taking SeaDance home as the current Clearwater Sculpture Series comes to an end.

The good news? Those empty sculpture pads won’t stay empty for long. The Clearwater Arts Alliance plans to install three new works on Cleveland Street next week. Stay Tuned!
