The ClemsonLIFE™ Program at Clemson University is designed for students with intellectual disabilities who desire a postsecondary experience on a college campus. We believe:
-That all young adults go through a similar development process that requires certain activities, experience and support.
-That all young adults must develop skills and an understanding about themselves and the world around them in order to fully participate in society and to become successful, contributing adults.
-That higher education is a vehicle for self-empowerment and access to social networks, employment, and independence.
-That group membership provides essential motivation and support for learning and participation in community life.

Freshman class explored career clusters today through hands-on stations focused on retail, hospitality, and food service. Students worked together to solve problems and brainstorm jobs within each field!

It’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month!

Liam is part of our ACES program and works as a host at The Vista in Greenville. ACES supports ClemsonLIFE alumni as they build independence, gain meaningful employment and careers, and become active members of the Greenville community.

It’s incredible to see the skills that our students have learned during ClemsonLIFE translate to life after LIFE 💜

Happy Friday! Today we put our restaurant etiquette, dining, and tipping skills to the test! Our BP students and instructors headed over to Tokyo’s Sushi Grill to take what we’ve been learning in the classroom into the real world. The students left with full bellies and fun memories! They all did so good and we are so proud of them! 🧡

So proud of our alumni, Tanner! 🧡

Tanner recently spoke in front of 10,000 (!!!) students at Liberty University and had the opportunity to meet the first four students in the new LibertyLIFE program.

LibertyLIFE is creating the same kind of transformative opportunities that ClemsonLIFE has provided to so many college students with disabilities.

We cant wait to follow their students journey and love seeing how ClemsonLIFE and our incredible alumni lead the way for inclusive education! Keep up the incredible advocacy, Tanner & Nicci! We are so proud to call you all a part of the Clemson Family.
