The Cleona Borough Police Department is located in Lebanon County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approximately 3 miles west of the City of Lebanon. The Borough was incorporated in 1929 and according to the 2000 census, our population is 2,148 in a 0.9 square mile area with a total of 30 miles of local and state roadways. The department was established in 1956 and is currently comprised of 4 fulltime police officers including a Chief of Police, a Sergeant, two Patrolman, and a school crossing guard. On July 1, 2014 at 8:00am the Cleona Borough Police Department began to provide contracted law enforcement services to North Annville Township.

At 11:18 AM, North Annville Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Hill Church Road involving a rollover with reported injuries.

Upon arrival, Chief 67 found a passenger vehicle approximately 40 yards into a field, resting on its roof. Life Lion EMS handled patient care at the scene while fire and emergency personnel worked to manage the incident.

The Cleona Borough Police Department is hiring part-time police officers. The 2026 salary for PT Officers is $28.50 per hour.

The Cleona Borough Police Department provides full police services to Cleona Borough, North Annville Township and Union Township. We also provide traffic enforcement services to Jonestown Borough and Swatara Township and provide a School Resource Officer to the Annville-Cleona School District. The CBPD will also be providing traffic enforcement services to Myerstown Borough in 2027.

Cleona Borough Police Department are investigating a series of vehicle entries which occurred over the weekend in Cleona. All of the targeted vehicles were unlocked at the time they were entered. One of the vehicles was stolen and later recovered in Lebanon City with the assistance of the Lebanon City Police Department.

The thieves took wallets, cash, credit cards and other personal belongings from the unlocked vehicles. Police have identified several suspects and the investigation is ongoing. The CBPD urge everyone to ensure their vehicles are locked and to avoid leaving any valuable or eye-catching items inside.
