The Bolivar County Regional Correctional Facility (BCRCF) is accepting applications for TWO LEADERSHIP POSITIONS!
We are seeking qualified, dedicated, dependable, and motivated individuals who possess strong leadership skills, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient correctional facility.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
🔹 1. CORRECTIONAL SUPERVISOR (CAPTAIN)
This leadership position is responsible for overseeing correctional operations, supervising staff, maintaining facility security, coordinating training, enforcing policies and procedures, and ensuring the safety of employees and inmates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of criminal justice or related experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
- Completion of basic correctional officer training.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Additional education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
🔹 2. CORRECTIONAL SHIFT SUPERVISOR (LIEUTENANT)
This position is responsible for supervising correctional officers, coordinating shift assignments, monitoring staff performance, overseeing inmate intake and release procedures, conducting security inspections, and maintaining order throughout the facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of criminal justice experience.
- At least one year of corrections experience involving inmate care and custody is required.
- One year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Relevant education may substitute for up to two years of qualifying experience, but cannot replace the required corrections experience.
