Bus Registration Reminder for the 2026β2027 School Year
Friday, July 31, 2026, is the deadline for students to be registered for transportation in order to ride the bus home on the first day of school, August 11, 2026.
Parents who have registered their students for transportation are also required to sign up for the Here Comes the Bus app, which allows families to track their child's bus location and receive notifications regarding bus arrival times. https://www.tarkingtonisd.net/families/here-comes-the-bus
If your child(ren) will be riding the bus at any time during the upcoming 2026β2027 school year, they must be registered by clicking the bus registration link. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd0BWzZNKqQ2EK4UXPv-tKVcx3Jq4pX8-FrvGvRU6aovnjQBA/viewform
All TISD students are required to register for bus transportation each year to ensure we have updated contact information and can maintain student safety.
Important: Any students registered after July 31, 2026, will be car riders home on the first day of school. Students who are registered on the first day of school will also be car riders home that afternoon. This allows the Transportation Department time to process registrations and properly route students for bus transportation.
Reminder: Students are only allowed one designated bus stop and may only be assigned to one bus route.
If your student was issued a Bus Pass ID during the 2025β2026 school year, they will continue to use the same Bus Pass ID for the 2026β2027 school year and will keep that same ID through graduation. If a student has lost their Bus Pass ID or not issued one, parents/guardians should notify the Transportation Department by email [email protected] or contact the Transportation Department at 281-592-0377.

Our ELA and Math departments wrapped up STAAR season by celebrating the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students with a well-earned Fun Day!
Throughout STAAR Boot Camp, students had the opportunity each day to earn points by working hard, staying engaged, and giving their best effort in class. Students who reached the points goal were rewarded with a day full of fun, laughter, and time with friends outside.
Students enjoyed volleyball, flag football, soccer, an inflatable obstacle course, snacks, candy, drinks, and of course delicious snow cones from Tarkington Snowballs, who graciously came out to help us celebrate these amazing students!
We are incredibly proud of our students for their effort and determination, but we also want to recognize our incredible ELA and Math teachers. The amount of time, planning, encouragement, and love they pour into helping students succeed does not go unnoticed. This day was just one small way to show our students how much they are appreciated for all of their hard work this year.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day such a success!
