The Ohio Historical Underground Railroad Trail traces the path of freedom seekers who escaped slavery via a secret network of safe houses and routes - many of which ran right through our state.
One stop on the trail: The Cozad-Bates House is the only pre-Civil War home left in the University Circle district. It now acts as a museum highlighting the area's history as a point of anti-slavery activism, while honoring freedom seekers through exhibits and installations.
