Cleveland TN Fire Department

It was a busy night for your Cleveland Fire Department as multiple companies battled two overnight structure fires, including this one off Brookwood Drive.

While no human injuries were reported, a family feline sadly perished in the Brookwood blaze.

Earlier in the evening, crews safely removed one occupant from an apartment fire off Village Oak Circle.

The brotherhood never retires.

There is something special about firefighters from different generations coming together around the same table.

Recently, your Cleveland Fire Department’s 2026 Fire Academy cadets had the opportunity to prepare and share breakfast with several of our retired members. What may have looked like a simple morning meal was something much more meaningful — an opportunity to connect the past, present, and future of our department.

Our retired firefighters have spent years answering the call, serving The City with Spirit, and carrying the traditions of the fire service. Now, they have the opportunity to share their stories, wisdom, and experiences with the next generation of firefighters who are just beginning their journey.

For our cadets, these moments are a reminder that becoming a firefighter means becoming part of something much bigger than yourself. It means joining a brotherhood built on service, sacrifice, tradition, and looking out for one another.

The names and faces may change, but the brotherhood remains.

Training Today Means Readiness Tomorrow!

Three members of your Cleveland Fire Department recently traveled to the Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy in Bell Buckle to complete a Fire Apparatus Pump Maintenance & Repair class.

The week-long course included two days of classroom instruction and two days of hands-on training covering pump repacking, valve rebuilding, pump control repairs, general apparatus maintenance, and troubleshooting pump issues.

The week concluded with firefighters putting their knowledge to the test by repairing and maintaining a pumper and successfully completing a pump test.

Investing in specialized training like this helps ensure our apparatus stays reliable and ready when our community needs us most. We’re proud of our firefighters for continuing to sharpen their skills and expand their knowledge!

PHOTO EXTRA: Training Today. Prepared for Tomorrow.

Your Cleveland Fire Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Blossman Gas and Appliance for their incredible generosity and continued support of the CFD Training Division.

Through their donation of equipment, time, and expertise, Blossman Gas and Appliance is helping us provide our firefighters with valuable opportunities to train in realistic live-fire scenarios. This hands-on training allows our crews to experience the heat, smoke, fire behavior, and challenges they may encounter when responding to real emergencies.

The more realistic the training, the better prepared our firefighters are when the call comes.

Most importantly, this generosity helps us fulfill our commitment to the community we serve: training harder, responding stronger, and being ready when our citizens need us most.

From everyone at the Cleveland Fire Department, thank you, Blossman Gas and Appliance, for investing in our firefighters and in the safety of The City with Spirit. Your partnership truly makes a difference.

Stronger Together.

Your Cleveland Fire Department is incredibly grateful for the continued support of the community we are proud to serve.

Every day, our firefighters stand ready to answer the call. The generous donations and contributions from our community partners help make that possible in ways both big and small. From providing meals and refreshments to supporting the equipment, resources, and needs that keep our stations and personnel operating, these acts of generosity make a real difference.

A special thank-you goes to McDonald’s franchise owner Mark Smith for his continued generosity and for helping keep our operations personnel fueled, refreshed, and ready to serve. Support like this means more than just a meal—it is a reminder that the community stands behind the men and women who stand ready to protect it.

To Mark and all of our community partners who have invested in the Cleveland Fire Department: thank you. Your generosity strengthens our department, supports our firefighters, and ultimately helps us better serve The City with Spirit.

We are fortunate to have a community that understands that being there for one another is what makes a community strong.

From your Cleveland Fire Department—thank you for standing with us.
