On Saturday, Outdoor Nature Club (ONC) volunteers and members of Girl Scout Troop 124182 removed non-native invasive Nandina from ONC’s Little Thicket Nature Sanctuary as part of the Native Plant Society of Texas (NPSOT) “Big Pull” statewide event during National Invasive Species Week.

OPEN HOUSE SATURDAY JAN 31st @ NOON

Due to the cooler morning temperatures we are opening the front gate a bit later than normal. Come see what we are all about. Individual memberships are $8 per year ($15 for a family). Enjoy over 650 acres with over 20 miles of hiking trails. Stop in Saturday and/or visit our website at

Dillo Wallow - clear
Wilderness Trail - clear & newly marked at west end
Dogwood - clear
Half Moon Trail - clear & newly marked
Chasm - clear
Enchanted Isle - clear
Sand Boil - clear but requires new foot bridge at west end, cross with caution
Little Jordan South Bank - clear but requires marking
Little Jordan North Bank - clear but requires marking and foot bridge repair on west end, cross with caution
Panhandle Trail - clear & newly marked
Wild Vines East & West - clear & newly marked
Bird Trail - clear
Beech Tree Trail - clear to Miller Creek
All tractor paths open
