Our summer camp took a trip to Jefferson Cleveland Library today📚

We were read a great story called “Zuni and The Memory Jar” by the wonderful staff at the library (Alex Story)

We got the chance to make our own memories jar 🫙we created one for the group to keep our Merrick Memories this summer😎☀️

Meet Jamaria and Jaiden Barnes! They are our Y.O.U employees that will be working with our kids all summer!

Jamaria and Jaiden are both sophomores at Garrett Morgan Engineering and Leadership School!

Fun fact: They are twins!

After high school Jamaria wants to go to college to be a Forensic Scientist and Jaiden is undecided but he likes working with the youth and has been doing great with the kids at camp!

Our first day of summer camp was lots of fun!

We were able to have some bubble and chalk fun during outside time! 🫧🫧

Getting to know new friends was our main focus today!

☀️Summer camp starts next Monday June 15th! We are excited for 6 weeks of fun, learning and adventure!

Merrick Summer Open House will take place tomorrow from 5-8pm for the reopening of our child care center !

All are welcome! Come meet our staff, tour the building, and learn about current and upcoming programs.

We love being able to serve the community and give back to those who support us!
