This Mental Health Month, we are proud to spotlight our newest Therapist, Mary Beth White.
Mary Beth supports her mental well-being by spending time with people she enjoys, laughing often, visiting the lake or ocean to relax and watching comedy movies.
She encourages older adults to listen to their minds and bodies, make time for activities that bring happiness and stay socially connected. “Humans need to be around other humans,” she shared. “Make a phone call to a family member or visit an old friend.”
We are grateful to Mary Beth for sharing these reminders about the value of rest, joy and staying connected with others.

May is Mental Health Month, and we’re proud to spotlight Chris Couture, behavioral health clinical supervisor at Benjamin Rose.
Chris encourages making time for small daily habits that support well-being. “I read for at least 30 minutes before I go to sleep every night — only fiction,” she said.
For older adults looking to support their mental health, Chris recommends increasing activity, whether physical or social. “It doesn’t have to be a large amount,” she said. “Calling a friend or doing chair yoga are good examples of activities to improve mood.”
