This week's Sherwin-Williams “Takeover Day” was a momentous success! Nearly 100 Sherwin-Williams staff came to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to dedicate time and energy into making hot meals for seniors, packing lunches for children, and sorting food to be delivered to our partner agencies. We are so grateful for your interest in our mission!

In addition to staffing volunteer shifts all day, the Sherwin-Williams team contributed a generous $100,000 donation to allow us to provide food and essential resources so our neighbors facing hunger can thrive. We can't do this important work without the support of incredibly motivated and engaged organizations such as Sherwin-Williams.

Special thanks to Sherwin-Williams Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer Heidi Petz for being a strong leader in the fight against hunger, and serving as a co-chair for this year's Harvest for Hunger Campaign.

Thank you, Sherwin-Williams Company!

We are so excited to partner with the Cleveland Metroparks for another summer of learning and free meals for children! Over the summer break, many children lose access to daily meals. We're here to help parents and caregivers bridge the gap so children return to school nourished and ready to learn for another year.

Congratulations to Meijer on the opening of their new store in the Geauga Lake District last week! We’re proud to partner with Meijer as part of the Feeding America network and look forward to working with this location to regularly rescue nutritious unsold product from going into the landfill. If you’re in the Geauga Lake District area, be sure to check out this beautiful new store!

Meijer has also demonstrated its continued commitment to hunger relief in Northeast Ohio with a $200,000 donation to the 2026 Harvest for Hunger Campaign. This generous contribution supports the campaign and our partner agencies serving communities right here in Northeast Ohio.
