“Today, October 9, 2026, we had Alphabet D Storyhour theme,” Mrs. Bobbie reports. “The children shared toy Dogs, Dinosaurs, a Doll, a Duck, a Dalmatian dog, Dum Dum suckers, and more. Our special guest was Miss Smith from Delta Health Alliance Resource and Referral Center. Miss Smith read “Doggies’s a Counting and Barking Book” and “Explore Desert Habitats with Rosita.” To end the program, we made a glazed Donut with sprinkles craft to take home.”

“Yesterday, October 7, 2026, the Bolivar County Library System resumed Teen Time Game Day at the Robinson-Carpenter Memorial Library in Cleveland. This program is held on the first Wednesday of each month for tweens and teens 11-18 years of age. They can enjoy board games, VR headsets, coloring sheets, puzzles, snacks and more. Teens are invited to stop by the next Teen Time Game Day on November 4th to explore and make suggestions for other engaging events to have for tweens and teens here at the library. Virgle, a sixth grader from Hayes Cooper Center, was chosen as the G.O.A.T. for yesterday’s Teen Time Game Day. Congratulations Virgle!”

“Today, October 7, 2026, Perfected Praise from the New Life Church 3- and 4-year-olds visited the library,” Mrs. Bobbie reports. “We recognized October as being Bullying Prevention Month and we talked about being kind. Continuing the theme, I read the book “A Bully Free School” and “I Am Enough.” Then, the children made a “Bee-Kind” craft to remind them not to be a bully.”

“Today, October 2, 2026, we had Alphabet C Storyhour theme,” Mrs. Bobbie reports. “Children shared a toy Chainsaw, a Crazy Crab, a Car, a Cat, a Cow and more, while another wore a Candy Corn outfit and another spelled his name Camille. We talked about other words that start with the Alphabet C, including Community Helpers. Our special guest was Mason Fioronelli, a Farmer. Mrs. Fioronelli read the book “My Family’s Corn Farm,” then shared the process of planting a corn crop. She also brought along a toy Combine and a Corn sensory bin for the children to experience. We ended the morning by making a paper Corn Craft to take home.”

“Today, September 25th, we had Alphabet B Storyhour theme,” Mrs. Bobbie reports. “I shared that my name starts with B, wore my rain Boots, and Bunny ears with my pet Bumble Bee named Beethoven. Then, the children shared their Band-Aids, stuffed Bunny, Bully the Bulldog, a Big Black Beetle, Bullseye from Toy Story, a toy sheep, the sound “Baa”, and one even brought his Big Brother Baron. After I read the books “It’s My Bird-Day” and “Farm Boots,” we made a Beautiful Blue Bird for a craft to take home.”
