CHSDA Senior families, the first senior meeting was on August 2, 2023, were you in attendance? The meeting was a great opportunity to get information on what to expect in the next upcoming months. This time is not only an exciting one for the student but for our families as well and we want to ensure that you are included on any events that occur during this year. A few tips to make sure you are kept up to date are listed below:
1. Make sure you are aware of the key members of the senior team.
2. Breathe.
3. Take advantage of all of the special moments of the school year.
4. Did we mention to breathe?
5. Encourage your child to show up and to show out! We don't want our students to get too relaxed as they prepare to leave high school. Encourage them that it is imperative to go out with a BANG!
6. Truly embrace the experience as you prepare to celebrate this amazing accomplishment.
7. Pat yourself on the back for all of your hard work and PATIENCE that you have had on this journey.
8. Prepare check points with your child to ensure they are on track academically.
9. Ask questions! Ask questions! Ask questions! We are here to support you and have a great deal of resources available to you but if we don't know what you need, we can't assist your family. We want to see your child succeed and we want you to be as stress free as possible.
10. Lastly- Smile! Just think how quickly your child has grown. Remember your child's first day of school? Remember the poses you forced your child to make on their pictures as you screamed out CHEESE while you clicked away as they entered into middle school? Remember the tear you had in your eyes when you realized your child was entering high school? Take a look at where you are now. You are almost at the finish line- just a little bit further to go so go ahead and take a moment and pat yourself on your back and realize the impact that you had on your child.
