Waiting for Trump and Pence in Cleveland!!!!

Hellooooo! Cleveland!!!! Since we are now 58 days away from the big election, I wanted to FINALLY get this group going! Life has been a bit crazy the past couple months for me, but l'm finally able to commit time to this group! Better late than never!😁

First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Lauren Musil. I am a proud resident of Cleveland and an even more proud supporter of Donald J. Trump. I work for a local and family owned health and wellness distribution company as a buyer for our fitness and supplement division. I'm an avid crossfitter, wannabe runner (3x 13.1😊), English bulldog mom, and daughter to some pretty awesome parents!

I've always been intrigued by politics and always believed in Republican views. It wasn't until Trump announced he was running for president, that my true passion for politics became known.

Now, when I say that I've always been intrigued by politics, many things come into play here. The first time I was able to vote was in 2004, which Bush was running for his second term. I've always liked the Bush family, but I could honestly say I wasn't a very educated voter at that time and followed how my family voted. The second time I could vote for a Presidential candidate was in 2008, McCain and Obama. This was the election that made me want to be an educated voter. Social media was on the rise, celebrity endorsements actually meant something to the American people and the young voters became intrigued with this election and a certain candidate for all the wrong reasons. I won't bore you with stories, but this was the first time I saw how my fellow voters were mesmerized by Obama for his "cool" factor. This was also the first time I was un friended by many people on Facebook in a short period of time (ha!).

So, fast forward to 2016. America is not the same. The economy is better but still broken. Violence is everywhere on our streets, ISIS is a everyday real threat on our soil, our Police and Vets are treated with disrespect and the American Dream is now just a thing of the past. The "cool" factor of Obama had quickly faded and our country is still yearning for that change he promised us 8 years ago.

Both Republican and Democrat parties were introduced to many candidates to run for the next President over the past year. We met some good, some bad(Bernie 🙄), but our country put their support towards Trump and Clinton.

This now has turned into such an exciting election. Real topics are being brought to our attentions. Every time a new poll is released, the race is always so close. But, the thing that makes my skin crawl, even with all the resources available to us, the millennial generation is still being hypnotized by social media.

Social media is telling this generation who is cool and who to vote for. Young females on YouTube who show you how to layer on way too much makeup, to vote for Hilary because she's a women and that's cool. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about a women being President, but not until the right candidate comes along.

There's been times when I'm scrolling through Facebook and see people make comments about Trump that aren't even true. But the best part of that is when I comment to them of the actual facts, they have nothing to say.

Politics are a true passion of mine and I am hoping to become an advocate to the millennial generation. I want to break the cycle of social media brain washing this generation on who to vote for. I want to be a voice for the Republican Party, and let this generation fall in love with politics, social issues and believe in our country.

So, enough about me....

Why I want to start this is to bring together young professionals of Cuyahoga County who have the same views as me. I want to talk to and meet like minded people and listen to their stories , as well as have an opportunity for all of us to network(over cocktails maybe???) I want to break the cycle of social media But most importantly, I want to keep the passion of politics and civil service alive in this generation. I want to meet people who say they want to be President someday or run for congress. I'm truly afraid these aspirations for the milennial generation doesn't exist anymore. But, it's people like you and me that can bring this passion for our country back alive. It's people like you that want to support Donald J. Trump to become the next President and help make this country great again!

I'm hoping as a group we can come together and do some campaigning for Mr. Trump in the Cleveland area. There are many opportunities, if you're not already involved. I look forward to hearing from all of you, and setting up a meet and great in the next upcoming weeks.

! Now that Donald J. Trump has secured the nomination for the upcoming election, it's time for us to come together and keep fighting this movement to ! The party has always had the reputation of old, rich white men. Cleveland, let's come together and break that mold!

We are the future of our country. We need to bring back the that has died right in front of our eyes these past 8 years.
