Our campus was a sea of orange today as we celebrated Unity Day! 🧡 Students showed up in their brightest orange shirts to send one clear message: we are united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, and there’s no room for bullying here. From big smiles on the playground to arms wide open in the classroom, our students proved that when we stand together, every single person belongs.

Thank you to our families for helping our students shine bright today, and to our teachers and staff who build a culture of kindness every day of the year. Together, we’re showing what it means to look out for one another. Keep spreading that orange-powered kindness, Indians! 🧡

🎃👻 Treats, books, and community resources…all in one place!
Join Cleveland ISD for our 4th Annual Fall Trunk or Treat & Community Resource Event on Saturday, October 24, at Cleveland High School!
Bring the family for a morning of fun featuring:
🍬 Trick-or-treating at more than 30 tables
🚐 HCSET Mobile Clinic with 10 vaccines available onsite and 30 vaccine vouchers available for attendees
📚 Cleveland ISD Bookmobile where students can read and check out books
🤝 Many community partners sharing helpful resources for your family!
🧡 Kids are encouraged to wear school-appropriate costumes and bring their trick-or-treat bags!

🧡 Wear Orange for Unity Day! | Wednesday, October 21, 2026

Mark your calendars! On Wednesday, October 21st, our school community is joining together to celebrate Unity Day.

Unity Day is our opportunity to send a powerful, visible message that our school values Kindness, Acceptance, Inclusion, and Unity. We invite all students, teachers, staff, and families to come together and stand against bullying by making our campus vibrant and bright!

🎨 How to Participate:

⚬ 👕 Wear Orange: Show your support by wearing an orange shirt, sweater, jacket, or hat.
⚬ 👟 Add Orange Accessories: Rock orange socks, shoelaces, wristbands, or hair ribbons.
⚬ 🤝 Choose Kindness Every Day: Make a conscious effort to include someone new at lunch, lend a helping hand, or share an encouraging word.

💡 Why Orange?

Orange is a vibrant, warm color associated with safety, visibility, and community warmth. By wearing orange together, we show that no student stands alone and that everyone belongs here!

Northside Elementary hosted a fantastic Kinder Night on Thursday, October 8th, connecting families with the key learning and assessment tools teachers use to support student growth.

Parents gained valuable insights into Circle Kindergarten Progress Monitoring (CLI), i-Ready diagnostics, and foundational standards in math and phonological awareness (Conciencia Fonológica).

Delivered in both English and Spanish alongside take-home reading materials, the event highlighted Northside Elementary's dedication to strong home-school partnerships.

Thank you to all the Northside families and staff who came out to support our young learners!
