Myth: Grief fades with time.

Fact: Grief changes through time, it doesn’t just disappear as time moves forward.

For many of the residents in the communities we serve, grief isn’t a single event, it’s more complex than that. It is the loss of a spouse, the loss of a friend, the loss of their own independence. Grief is often layered, ongoing, and unspoken.

What helps isn’t time alone, it’s support, and that’s what we’re here for.

Did you know access to quality mental health care hasn't always looked the same for everyone, especially in long-term care settings?

Up to 25% percent of adults 65 and older are living with a mental health condition such as anxiety or depression, according to the National Council on Aging.
