Please join us in welcoming our newest Police Cadet, Sammy Sidor, who was officially sworn in yesterday at the Maple Heights Police Department! 👮‍♂️🇺🇸

Sammy is the son of former Maple Heights Police Officer Nicholas Sidor. We are proud to see another generation continuing a tradition of service to our community.

Congratulations, Sammy, and welcome to the Maple Heights Police Department family! We look forward to watching you grow and succeed in your new role.

A huge thank you to one of our amazing residents for once again thinking of our department and dropping off delicious cookies for our staff! Your continued kindness and support truly mean so much to all of us. Small gestures like this go a long way and are greatly appreciated by everyone here. Starting at 4:30pm today, Stafford Park will be closed. There will be no activities in the park tonight. We apologize for any inconvenience. The park will reopen tomorrow morning at 7:00am.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Ms. Zverina and the wonderful staff at Abraham Lincoln Elementary for inviting our officers to participate in the 2026 Career Day this year.

Students had the opportunity to explore Bomb Squad equipment, ask questions, and learn more about what our officers do every day. They also received fun take-home items and were even sworn in as honorary police officers for the day—complete with choosing their own badge numbers!

We truly enjoyed spending time with the students and being part of such a great event. Thank you again for having us!
