As many of you know, the Lorain Police Department provides all security for our events and we are blessed to have these brave men and women as our partners to make sure each of our guests are safe and secure at our shows. With yesterday's tragic events we were unsure as to what we wanted to do with our shows this weekend.
After consultation with Command Staff members and with Fraternal Order of Police, Lorain Lodge #3 a decision has been made to proceed with our scheduled events. We at Rockin' on the River and the Lorain Port and Finance Authority want to make sure we provide support to our officers and their families so we will be donating a portion of our proceeds from both shows this weekend to The Lorain Police Officers Charitable Foundation that will go directly to the affected families of our officers.
We ask that you join us in supporting these officers and all of our partners at LPD and join in by making donations as well. We will have a tent set up next to the stage to collect donations that will directly go to the Lorain Police Officers Charitable Foundation.
We will also do our best to honor our brave officers throughout the weekend. Please keep Lorain Police Officers and all Law Enforcement Officers in your thoughts and Prayers in this tragic time.
