This project aims to make Lee Road safer, more comfortable, and more welcoming for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists. Proposed improvements reflect community goals from the Lee-Harvard Community Master Plan, Cleveland Moves, and the City’s Vision Zero commitment to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries.

Hundreds of students at CMSD schools and our Neighborhood Resource and Recreation Centers took a stand against gun violence by pledging to resolve conflicts without guns and help create safer schools and neighborhoods. Through this initiative, we encourage our scholars to think critically, make positive choices, and recognize the impact they can have on the world around them.

With more than 2,500 Student Pledges Against Gun Violence collected across the city, this is a powerful reminder that prevention starts with education, engagement, and giving young people a voice.

City Services in Action.

Through the City’s Residential Resurfacing Program, our Division of Streets team has successfully resurfaced 143 streets this year across all 15 wards.

The program covered approximately 526,000 square yards this year, which is equivalent to just under 75 lane miles using a 12-foot lane width. For scale, that is roughly one lane stretching from Cleveland to Youngstown.

We are committed to continuing to maintain safe and clean roadways throughout Cleveland.

Affordability is a Cleveland advantage.

Cleveland State University announced the Cleveland State Commitment, a promise of $0 tuition for qualified Ohio students.

Beginning in fall 2027, incoming first-year students who graduate high school in spring 2027 with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and whose families have an adjusted gross income of $125,000 or less, will pay no tuition for up to eight consecutive semesters. 

This makes higher education more accessible, helps make Cleveland more affordable, and strengthens the city’s ability to retain its next generation of talent.
