The National Endowment for the Arts Big Read broadens our understanding of ourselves and our neighbors through the power of a shared reading experience. Programming for the 2026-2027will center around the theme America250 in a celebration of our country’s culture, history, and resilience through the eyes of its citizens.
As part of the NEA Big Read, William Paterson University will be leading an exploration of Sandra Cisnero’s The House on Mango Street. Join us at our kick-off event at Clifton Public Library where we will introduce this title while we share some light refreshments. You do not have to read the book in advance- we will be giving out copies of The House on Mango Street at this event.
