Great moment at Tuesday night’s Board meeting recognizing John David Hales and Zane Joiner for helping the City of Clinton locate an elusive water leak.

We’re proud of these two young Clinton residents for paying attention, getting involved, and helping their community. Great job, young men!

Great job! Tuesday night, the City of Clinton recognized John David Hales and Zane Joiner, two young Clinton residents who helped solve the mystery of Clinton's elusive water leak!

In early August, the city began investigating an unexplained water loss, which was eventually discovered. (📸: City of Clinton)

Back at it again!

Last year, I launched and hosted an inaugural back-to-school haircut event to help students start the school year feeling confident and prepared.

This year, I’m proud to continue that work in collaboration with JRoz Cutz & Salon, which will provide FREE haircuts for students in the Clinton Public School District and Jackson Public Schools.

This second year represents the kind of community partnership I believe in: local businesses, public servants, and families working together to support our young people.

Amid near-constant discussions at Jackson City Council meetings about data centers, including citizen-led protests, a group of experts and local officials came together to present a different side of the debate.

Small businesses play a significant role in strengthening our local economy, creating jobs, and enhancing the quality of life here in Clinton. I’m grateful for their investment in our city and excited to see the positive impact they’ll bring to the area and the broader community.
