Dewitt County - Troopers are on the scene of two-unit crash involving two semi’s near I-74 westbound milepost 155 (west of Farmer City) in Dewitt County. Westbound lanes being blocked. Traffic is being diverted to US-150.

It’s a nice cool morning for the Triathlon. We are happy to welcome back the NCAA triathlon at Clinton lake this morning. Our crews are out and ready for the event. Reminder the main road into the campground at Clinton lake campground will be closed from 9-12 today for the event.

Today, DeWitt County EMS joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the first responders who courageously ran toward danger, the innocent lives taken too soon, and the families forever changed by that tragic day.

May we never forget their courage and sacrifice—or the strength, compassion, and unity that brought our country together in the days that followed.

The weather has been great this weekend for both of the standbys we were out at. Friday night we were out at the Blue Ridge High School Football Game and at the Farmer City Raceway as the races are wrapping up for the season.

Then Saturday night we were out at the Light it Up run with the Clinton Maroons XC team. With over 750 runners it was a fantastic evening and has been great to see them continue to grow the event. Thank you to all of the agencies that were also there to show their support and light it up for the event. We have an amazing county and are grateful to get to serve the county!

We are beyond grateful to have an amazing team. Yesterday as our neighbors to the north got hit by a storm causing extensive damage our team came together to help out. Yesterday evening we ended up staffing 2 additional ambulances to help, staffing a total of 7 ambulance for the evening.

While maintaining our ALS coverage across the county we had one ALS and 3 BLS units up in McLean County helping OSF St. Joseph Medical Center and Carle BroMenn Medical Center. We are glad things are slowly returns if to normal for them today, however were glad that we were able to be there to help in a time of need. Our teams, all the hospital staff and all the other emergency workers in Bloomington/Normal did an outstanding job yesterday in the storms wake. It was a true testament of everyone coming together to help out.
