Findlay Township/Admin The OFFICIAL page for Findlay Township Administration, Allegheny County, PA Residentially there are three main population centers within Findlay.

Findlay Township, home to the Pittsburgh International Airport, is conveniently located in Allegheny County, southwestern Pennsylvania, 20 miles from Pittsburgh, PA; 22 miles from Weirton, WV and 25 miles from Steubenville, OH. Geographically, we offer a scenic landscape of forested hills, varying topography, open fields and steeply cut stream valleys. These amenities were taken into consideration by the township leaders when planning the location of commercial areas and our residential communities. The Township's residential land uses are concentrated around Imperial, Clinton and the Aten Road/Westbury Subdivision area with scattered housing in other areas. Imperial typifies a village organization with a Main street business district and closely spaced older residential structures on tree-lined streets with newer housing stock in Planned Residential Developments. Clinton's residential areas are more spread out in neighborhoods north and south of US Route 30. Some older housing stock is along and to the north of US Route 30 while newer housing and Planned Residential Developments are to the south of Route 30. Homes in the Aten Road/Westbury Planned Residential development, in the northeast section of the Township, tend to be laid out in a typical suburban subdivision form. The residential area along Hookstown Grade Road, Spring Run Road Extension and Moon-Clinton Road in the northern corner of the Township are a mix of older and newer housing along with commercial land uses. Our residents enjoy the ambiance of the country with the convenience of easy access to the city. We offer numerous types of recreation facilities at our Recreation and Sports Complex, Leopold Lake, Aten Road Ballfield and Playground, Escalon Tot Lot, Old Ridge Ballfield, Clinton Park and Ballfield, Rainbow's End Playground and Elm Street Park. Our Recreation Department remains busy all year long planning events such as the Independence Day Fireworks and the Fair in the Woodlands. Through Comprehensive Planning, the township has positioned itself to be well suited for commercial and industrial developments by virtue of major highway access, Pittsburgh International Airport, reliable infrastructure and the availability of prime land. Findlay Township is a vital economic engine for Western Pennsylvania and home to several prominent national corporations, expanding corporate and industrial parks, and expanding freeway access. With Pittsburgh International Airport, multiple Interstate Freeways, freight rail and the Ohio River shipping channel at its doorstep, Findlay Township offers unparalleled access to all major modes of transport ensuring the rapid exchange of goods, services and ideas in the global marketplace. As an "Edge City" forming the Western Gateway into Pittsburgh and the region's grant entrance for air travel visitors, Findlay Township is uniquely positioned to lead Southwest Pennsylvania's ongoing transformation into the Tech Belt of the future. With all of this, we ask, "Where Else Would You Want to Land?"

Congratulations Findlay Township Police Department! We see everything you do for our community and all the work to achieve this accreditation. So proud! 👏

🚨 PROUD ANNOUNCEMENT: CALEA® Accreditation 🚨

We are proud to announce that Findlay Township Police Department has officially maintained its CALEA Law Enforcement Accreditation! 🏆

Often referred to as the "gold standard in law enforcement," CALEA is a prestigious national and international credentialing authority. Less than 5% of law enforcement agencies nationwide achieve this high level of recognition.

What does CALEA accreditation mean for you?

* Excellence & Accountability: It means our policies, procedures, management, and operations are rigorously evaluated against strict, state-of-the-art national standards.

* Continuous Improvement: We don't just set high standards once—CALEA requires ongoing self-assessments, annual file reviews, and independent on-site evaluations to ensure we continuously improve our service to you.

* Stronger Community Trust: This accreditation highlights our dedication to transparency, ethical policing, and deep engagement with the neighborhood we serve.

Achieving this status takes years of hard work, dedication, and attention to detail from every member of our department. We want to thank our incredible staff for their commitment, and thank you, our community, for your continued support and partnership in keeping Findlay Township safe.
