Greenville County Farm Bureau’s annual meeting was a success. Rep. Mike Burns, Rep. David Vaughan and I were proud to stand with Farm Bureau President Chris Talley. A highlight was Eliza Pearl Terry sharing her experience at SCFB Youth Leadership Conference. Our 26-27 state budget provides $35 million in farm assistance is working to provide relief to our farmers.

Fairview Presbyterian Church, established in 1786 celebrated 240 years today. It is the oldest Presbyterian church in Greenville County, and 14th oldest PCA Presbyterian Church in the USA. Tracy and were invited to attend and presented a recognition from the SC State House of Representatives.

Family and friends gathered for the unveiling of the “Judge Joseph Wilson McGowan III Memorial Highway.” Justice Letitia Verdin, SC Supreme Court, joined me in sharing memories of our friend Joe. This sign will serve as a reminder to all who pass by the life, legacy, and public service of the late retired Family Court Judge McGowan.

We joined in celebrating Opening day at Fountain Inn Miracle League. Pictured with “Homer”, Rec. Director, James Rice, and the legendary Emmanuel Sullivan, opening day is official! This great program ensures adults and children with disabilities can experience the fun of baseball. The field was designed to make access to the game with rubberized turf that accommodates assistive devices and wheelchairs. It’s one of our favorite ways to spend Monday nights at 6:00 at the Emmanuel Sullivan Sports Complex. To volunteer call Ft. Inn Recreation Department at 864-531-0644
