This year we hold our 4th Annual Chili Cook-off Nov. 7. During our 1st Chili Cook-off, we had a conundrum: 2 people tied for 1st place and we only had ONE trophy... Attendees must have thought we forgot how to count as we deliberated what to do! We announced two 1st place winners that year: Tom Turini (of Turini Catering / Lou's Diner) and Toni D’India shared the trophy that year. Thank you so much to all of you who supported our raffle for "A WEEKEND AWAY! " We are happy to announce we had the drawing on Saturday, Sept. 12 and winner Margaret was thrilled to have such a lucky day. This year's Olde Home Days were really great with lots of visitors including Representative Meg Kilcoyne. We were able to share that our section of MCRT in Clinton has clearing and construction barriers being installed this week! (More news and pictures to come as we show you the progress.)

We are almost there with our WEEKEND AWAY RAFFLE! It ends on 9/12 at our Olde Home Day booth. This donated weekend allows 100% of the proceeds to benefit the CGCT and help to further our work in many areas. Plus – IT WILL BE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND AWAY!

After a super fun Annual Meeting June 9, we were surprised and honored to learn Clinton has received another MassTrails grant that will help us complete our section of the Mass Central Rail Trail (MCRT). NOT ONLY THAT, but we were also selected to host the MassTrails Grant Awards on Weds, June 24! MassTrails director Amanda Lewis wanted to show the rest of the recipients and state officials how special this area is with the MCRT connecting to Clinton's 62-acre Rauscher Farm and the large DCR Wachusett Reservoir and Conservation Area with the dam and extensive trails. (We in Clinton already knew that.)

Only 2 days until our Annual Meeting / MOVIE NIGHT!! All are invited to this free showing of The Extraordinary Caterpillar; the movie is about 1 hour long, so families with young entomologists are welcome. We'll have popcorn and other assorted snacks and drinks. Come at 6:30 to "schmooze". Movie at 7pm. CGCT Annual Meeting, Tuesday, June 9 at the Clinton Historical Society Holder Memorial, 210 Church Street.
