National Day of the Deployed — October 26
National Day of the Deployed honors the brave men and women serving away from home and recognizes the families who carry on in their absence.
Deployments can mean missed birthdays, holidays, and everyday moments. While service members fulfill their missions, spouses and families often manage the household, care for children, and face months of worry and uncertainty.
One meaningful way to show support is to offer practical help to a deployed service member’s family. Provide a meal, help with yardwork, babysit for an afternoon, or give a gas or grocery gift card. Even a simple message—“I’m thinking of you. What would make this week easier?”—can mean more than you realize.
Today, we honor those serving far from home and the families faithfully standing behind them. Thank you for your service, strength, and sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙
