Job Title: Full-Time Police Officer
Department: Clinton Police Department
Location: Clinton, Maine

Position Overview:
The Clinton Police Department is seeking motivated, professional, and community-oriented individuals to join our team as a Full-Time Police Officer. This position is responsible for protecting life and property, enforcing laws and ordinances, and maintaining public peace within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
* Respond to calls for service, emergencies, and public assistance
* Enforce federal, state, and local laws
* Conduct traffic enforcement and accident investigations
* Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records
* Make arrests when necessary and testify in court proceedings
* Build positive relationships with community members
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Must possess or be eligible for Maine Criminal Justice Academy (MCJA) certification
* Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
* Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, physical exam, and psychological evaluation
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior law enforcement experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
