🔥 As temperatures drop: Charge Smart & Stay Fire Safe!

Phones, tablets, e-bikes, and power tools all run on lithium-ion batteries. They make life easier, but when they’re damaged, overcharged, or left charging unattended, they can overheat and start a fire.

✔️ Charge devices on hard, flat surfaces, not in bed or on the couch
✔️ Use the cord and charger that came with the device
✔️ Unplug and stop charging if a battery gets hot, swells, or smells strange
✔️ Never charge e-bikes or scooters in hallways, exits, or bedrooms
✔️ Check that your smoke alarms are working

Fire safety starts with small habits. Reduce your risk of a house fire by sharing this with your family and friends! 🔥

This Halloween, keep fire safety in mind during your festivities! 🔥 No matter how harmless it may seem, costumes, decorations, and open-flame candles can increase fire risks.

🎃 Costumes nowadays are HIGHLY FLAMMABLE and made out of fabrics such as polyester, which contains plastics that can burn into your skin. Always be sure your child keeps their costume away from open flames.
🎃 When in doubt, always use battery-operated candles instead of real candles, inside and outside of your home.
🎃 Keep decorations away from heat sources. String lights, paper banners, or anything plastic can be highly flammable and potentially toxic

Simple precautions can help ensure a safe and enjoyable Halloween for everyone.
