Sorghum Harvest 2026 was a success! Thank you to all of the lovely vendors who came out to share their creations with us, and to everyone who came out to support them and our little farm! We appreciate you! 🌾💜

We had some good help yesterday to cut the sorghum cane down! We can tell the sorghum syrup is going to be EXTRA sweet and flavorful this year by how juicy the stalks were. We can’t wait to see how it turns out! Don’t forget to come see how it’s made this Saturday the 5th from 10 am to 2pm, and enjoy walking around the local craft vendors, and purchasing the homemade food by Ashley Paige Boessel and sorghum donuts by Will Cranfill! 🥗🍩
Make sure to bring cash in case some of the vendors are cash only!

We’re getting closer! We’ve stripped the leaves off the sorghum cane, and in a day or so, we’ll start cutting it down to get it ready to press this weekend! We hope you all will come join us this Saturday, September 5th from 10 am to 2 pm, to see how we press it and turn the juice into sorghum syrup! There will be food and handmade arts and crafts for sale, live music, and you’ll even be able to buy some fresh, homemade sorghum syrup! We’re limiting it to 2 jars a person this year to give more people a chance to buy it. ☺️ We’ll see y’all soon! 🌾

Here are a few more examples of what these vendors will have at the Sorghum Harvest on September 5th from 10 am to 2 pm!
Denise Meyers will have bread knives, bread boards, charcuterie and cutting boards from sustainably harvested exotic and local hardwoods. They make each piece one at a time, and for the past few months they focused on reclaimed hardwoods like hickory and walnut from Hurricane Helene. 🌳
adb_ceramics1 will have her beautiful pottery mugs and other dishes made with lovely wax-resist, Appalachian inspired designs! She also makes some really cool ceramic charcuterie plates that would go perfectly with one of Denise Meyers’s cutting boards! 🌷
Bethany Cullen is returning with a lovely selection of one-of-a-kind, handmade, patchwork pillows and bags, cute fabric pumpkins, artwork, and more! 🎃
Lastly, we’re happy to welcome back Glazed Over Potters who are always a hit with their mugs, plates, butter dishes, jewelry, and more! 🏺

We are stoked to announce one more vendor who will be joining us at the Sorghum Harvest! Phillips Hanging Rock Farm will be there selling their home grown pumpkins to help us kick start the fall season! 🎃✨

We hope you all come to the harvest hungry and thirsty! East Sylva Flower Farm will be serving fresh squeezed lemonade, Ashley Paige Boessel will have delicious, home cooked, sorghum themed meals for purchase, Will Cranfill will be making sorghum donut holes again, and Doo-Dah’s Pimento Cheese and DJ's Pickles will be selling their homemade pimento cheese and pickles! Yum! Our mouths are already watering.

Vendor Highlights!
Here we have some photos from The Sisters Rummage booth last year, plus a peek at their new “made-by-us” clothing line! Can’t wait to see what they bring this year! 🧺
Next we have a new comer, Rambling Rose Ceramics made by Helena Rose! She just started her ceramics journey this year, and will be selling her tiny, Appalachian inspired ceramic jewelry! 🌿
And of course, we can’t wait to see all the beautiful flowers and flower creations that East Sylva Flower Farm will have, and taste their fresh squeezed lemonade!🌻
