The Clyde Volunteer Fire Department ran a total of 23 calls in August, including:

Grass/Brush Fires: 15
Structure Fires: 3
Vehicle Fire: 1
Vehicle accident: 1
Gas/Smoke Alarms: 3

With 15 of our 23 calls being grass and brush fires, these numbers are a reminder of just how dry conditions can become across Texas this time of year.

Please stay aware of current conditions. We’re proud to serve Clyde and our surrounding communities, and we appreciate the continued support of everyone who helps us provide this service.

Congratulations to Dylan Neuman for 5 years of service and dedication!

Clyde Fire Department would like to say THANK YOU! As we head into a hotter and drier time of year, we want to take a moment to thank everyone in our community and surrounding areas for the continued support you have shown our department. Every donation, kind word, and helping hand makes a difference.

We have received lots of questions on how people can donate and support. At this time, we are not in dire need of water bottles but will still take it. If you would like to support our firefighters, some of the things that are especially helpful include:

* DripDrop, Liquid I.V., electrolyte replenishment
* Beef jerky
* Crackers
* Monetary donations through Venmo or our P.O. Box

Your support helps keep our crews fueled and ready while we respond to calls to protect our community during the hot, dry months.

if you’re not from Clyde, consider supporting your local volunteer fire department or any of the surrounding departments in your area. These departments rely heavily on the support of their communities, and every little bit makes a difference.

From all of us at the Clyde Volunteer Fire Department — thank you for standing behind us and supporting the people who serve our community.

Thank you, Clyde, for another impressive “Fill the boot”!

Your generosity will be passed along to the Patterson and Underwood families. Y’all have donated over $7000 with a few more still coming in. If you’d like to contribute, it’s not too late… the CVFD Venmo is attached. Anything received for the next week will be added.

The fire department will be doing our annual fill the boot at the 4way by onestop tomorrow morning.
This year we have decided to give 100% of the funds to the the Underwood and Paterson families.
We hope to see everyone out and about tomorrow to show support!
