☀️ Big news for Freedom 7! Protect the Groms, the nonprofit founded by Sun Bum, has awarded our school a grant to fully fund our Lower School Playground Shade Structure Project, valued at over $100,000!

We started working toward this in the summer of 2025, and after more than a year of planning and work behind the scenes, we’re so excited to see it moving forward. The new shade structures will give our youngest Eagles a cooler, more comfortable place to play.

Thank you to Sun Bum and Protect the Groms for this generous gift to our school. We’ll share updates as we get closer to installation! ☀️

📚 That’s a wrap on our Read-A-Thon! Thank you to all our Freedom 7 families for supporting our readers, logging minutes, and sharing donation pages. Now it’s time to celebrate!

Students who raised $75 or more earned Crazy Sock Day on Wednesday, October 14. Those who raised $150 or more also earned Free Dress Day on Friday, October 16. Teachers and room parents will notify qualifying families. Please remember that costumes are not allowed on free dress days.

Congratulations to Falcone and Hughes for winning the Ninja Course with Coach Reed for the highest reading minutes per class in the K–3rd and 4th–6th divisions! Haring and Cobb were the top fundraising classes in their divisions and earned a foam party.

The top readers from each class will enjoy a VIP pizza lunch on Friday, November 20. We’re proud of all the time they put into reading!

Check the attached graphics for top readers, qualifying classes, and the full prize schedule, including class free dress days and our January 8 TikTok dance celebration.

Thank you to our teachers, Read-A-Thon committee, volunteers, and families for making this year’s fundraiser a success! 📚
