A big thank-you to Officer Traverse for leading an important e-bike safety session with Cody Middle School students today! As e-bike use continues to grow, this type of education is vital to student safety.

Our students asked great questions, and we appreciate Officer Traverse for sharing his time and expertise.

“Choose a job you love, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.”

Today was a pretty great reminder of that. It’s my birthday, and I got to spend it at Park 6 surrounded by smiling student faces, countless “Happy Birthday” wishes, and some real fun with my coworkers—the best group anyone could ask to work with.

Getting older isn’t so bad when you truly enjoy what you do, the people you work alongside, and the community you get to serve. Thank you, Park 6, for making this birthday one I won’t forget!

Heads up, drivers! Morning and afternoon school zones are about to get much busier starting August 20th. Watch this quick reminder from Officer Dollard on crosswalks, drop-off zones, and staying distraction-free.

Wyoming was well-represented this week at the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) National School Safety Conference in Reno, Nevada! 🤠🤝
I just wrapped up five days of incredible, world-class training alongside School Resource Officers, educators, and school safety professionals from across the United States and around the globe.
This conference is truly the gold standard for school-based policing. We dove deep into the latest trends, legal updates, and safety strategies to ensure our schools remain safe, welcoming environments.
One of the most valuable parts of the week was the rare opportunity to network and swap experiences with SROs from all walks of life—from massive metropolitan departments to small towns, and everywhere in between. I was proud to connect with fellow SROs from right here in Wyoming, and even had the unique privilege of meeting school safety colleagues all the way from Ukraine!
An exchange of expertise like this is priceless. No matter where we serve, our mission remains the same: protecting our youth.
I’m heading home with a wealth of fresh knowledge, new strategies, and best practices. I look forward to bringing it all back to continue serving and protecting the students, staff, and families of the Park County School District #6! 🛡️📚
