When you open a book and let your child become the storyteller, it actively engages their memory and lets them lead storytime. You can narrate together, ask "what happens next?", or let your child take the lead completely.

Reading isn't a skill we just master in elementary school and check off a list—it's a lifelong muscle that needs daily practice at every age.
