Join us next Monday at 1:00 p.m. for our October meeting of the Bite-Sized Book Club!

We are a library book club that focuses on short reads; most books are under 200 pages! We read across genres but this is our pick for spooky season: Shirley Jackson's classic gothic novel "We Have Always Lived in the Castle."
It is available on both Libby or hoopla and there are currently physical copies on hold at our circulation desk.

And with a bite-sized book, you still have time to read it this weekend and join us on Monday! All are welcome!

Join us next Wednesday, October 7 at 5:30 p.m. for a screening of the Emmy-award winning documentary "The Librarians."

"As an unprecedented wave of book banning is sparked in Texas, Florida, and beyond, librarians under siege join forces as unlikely defenders fighting for intellectual freedom on the front lines of democracy, flanked by concerned community members and young readers. The Librarians is a chilling cautionary tale and rallying cry for freedom – told through the personal experiences of librarians under siege and the everyday patriots who join their ranks in defense of the books."

Join us for a Banned Books Week showing of this important film. Refreshments will be served.
All are welcome.

Celebrate National Comic Book Day with these graphic novel recommendations for all ages!

Graphic novels can be great for beginning and reluctant readers as they can be more accessible than traditional books. Loving graphic novels can be a gateway to loving reading! They're also great for teens and adults as they can tell stories in new and inventive ways and they're full of beautiful art!

These recommendations were chosen by PPML librarians and are all available through the OCLN catalog for pickup in Cohasset!
