Protect clean water, healthy natural areas, and access to the outdoors!

A YES VOTE on QUESTION 6 dedicates the sales tax we already pay on sporting goods to a new Nature for All Fund to protect clean drinking water; conserve forests, family farms, and natural wildlife habitat; and create more parks, trails, and greenspaces for all to enjoy.

Has your child or school visited the farm for a field trip yet?

The first and second graders from South Shore Charter Public School have been enjoying three hands-on learning visits to the farm!

During each visit, students have cared for their garden (located right here on the farm), by sifting compost, harvesting potatoes, kale, and peppers, while also weeding, watering, and sowing cover crops.

One of their favorite discoveries has been the abundance of acorns and black walnuts covering the ground. The students are excited to know there will be plenty of food for forest creatures this winter—with enough left over to sprout into new trees this spring!

It's been a wonderful season of learning, growing, and connecting with the land.

Fall is garlic planting season! 🧄

Our farmers share four (4) tips for growing garlic:

🧄 When to plant: Early to mid-November is ideal!

🧄 Choose quality seed: We plant and sell only Certified Organic and Certified Disease-Free seed garlic. (This helps ensure your crop and the soil stay healthy)

🧄 Pick your varieties: Try hardneck, softneck, or both! Find five varieties at our farm stand: Music, German Extra Hardy, Montana Zemo, Chesnok, and Inchelium Red.

🧄 Learn with us: Join our planting workshop on November 14 to learn about garlic and other winter-hardy bulbs for year-long blooms! And go home with some!
