Cohoes Police Department The Cohoes Police Department is a full time department serving the City of Cohoes, New York.

The Cohoes Police Official page is not a forum to report a crime. If you have an emergency or need to report a crime you should dial 9-1-1 or our non-emergency line (518) 237-5333 ext7. The Criminal Investigations Division can be reached at (518) 233-2146 or the Anonymous Tip Line (518) 233-2161. This page was created to provide residents of Cohoes, those who work in Cohoes, and others with an interest in the Cohoes Police Department the ability to access information about our police department and a platform to work together. The Cohoes Police Department reserves the right to remove comments that are discriminatory, abusive, obscene and/or threatening in nature. This past Sunday, Officer Brett Smith participated in the Brunswick HOG Chapter’s 27th Annual Toys for Tots Motor Parade. Riders traveled through Troy, Melrose, Mechanicville, Clifton Park, and Round Lake, helping deliver toys and raise funds to kick off the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign.

A special thank you to the Brunswick HOG Chapter and everyone who participated in this longstanding tradition. Your support helps make the holiday season brighter for children and families across our communities.

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming members of the National Assembly of Vietnam through the Congressional Office for International Leadership's Open World Program, coordinated locally by the International Center of the Capital Region.

It was a great opportunity to share experiences and learn how agencies around the world work to keep their communities safe. We enjoyed discussing policing, community engagement, and the important role law enforcement plays in serving the public.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect and build these meaningful international partnerships. Thank you to our visitors for spending time with us and making this a memorable experience.
