We are all stocked up for our pumpkin carving event this Friday thanks to our donors, Hannaford Supermarkets and Engelke Farm! A huge thank you to Engelke Farm for the majority of our supply. We didn’t take them all- so if you’re in need of fall decor, (or some yummy c***r doughnuts 😋) they have you covered.

🗓️10/23 (10am-5:30pm) Stop by the Park Office during Visitor’s Center hours to carve a pumpkin for FREE! (While supplies last.) The only catch is you have to leave it with us for the weekend and pick it up on Sunday. 😉 Certain cuts will need to be made by park staff, all other “cutting” will be done by tapping in shaped cutters with a mallet. Parent/guardian supervision required. 🎃

🗓️10/24 (6:30pm) Autumn Luminary Walk and Spooky Stroll. Jack-o-lanterns will decorate your entry to the island! Short and long trail loops will be lit by luminaries as well as an additional, optional, haunted trail. Complete with props, decorations, scary sounds and themed areas, this trail arrives just in time for Halloween. 👻

Thank you to all who came to our Open House! Over the course of three days more than a thousand people attended our open house, joining in tours, viewing exhibits and talking to our talented staff.

It was because of you that this event was a success. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again!

Division for Historic Preservation Open House

Highlights include:
Conservation Lab Tours: Closed to the public for 15 years, these tours give you a behind-the-scenes look at how history is preserved.

Artifacts and Exhibits: Check out dozens of unique artifacts such as the original American flag draped over President Grant's casket and exhibits including Revisit the Revolution which covers NYS Revolutionary War history!

Expert Presentations and Expertise: Join presentations and talk directly with professionals knowledgeable on historic tax credits, preservation and more!
