You may notice our grounds department using a new piece of equipment around town, the moonshine w**d killer. This machine, donated by resident Frank Zvach, allows our crew to control unwanted vegetation using heated water rather than traditional chemical herbicides. The system applies hot water directly to w**ds, damaging the plant tissue and providing an alternative method to vegetation control.
We'll be using it in areas such as parks, athletic facilities, fence lines, walkways and other town maintained properties.

So if you see our crew out spraying don't be alarmed - what you're seeing is hot water w**d control at work! Thank you Mr. Zvach!

With the budget freeze lifted, the Transfer Station is now open both Tuesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Reclaiming and paving of Williams Road will start tomorrow (8/5). Residents should expect delays and possible road closures. Please note that Williams Road project was part of the FY2025 budget and contracted in May. These pre-funded and approved projects are not affected by the budget freeze.

Our crew recently started removal of a large section of unused stone dust along the edge of one of our multi-use fields at the recplex. The area is being restored to grass, creating more usable foul territory for softball while improving the field for soccer and other activities.
