ROCORI Middle School Takes on Washington, D.C.!

ROCORI Middle School students are exploring our nation’s history and government! Highlights include visiting George Washington’s home at Mount Vernon, touring the U.S. Capitol Building, and visiting Arlington National Cemetery. A special honor for several students was participating in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. What an unforgettable opportunity to learn about our nation’s history and honor those who served!

Mr. Jake Masters and his ROCORI Carpentry students began construction this week on storage sheds purchased by members of our community. This hands-on project provides students with valuable real-world experience while allowing them to apply the skills and knowledge they have developed in the classroom.

We are grateful to the community members who have supported this opportunity and look forward to seeing the students’ hard work come together as they complete the sheds!
