Today, we remember our good friend and fellow Corrections Deputy, Kevin Kokinis.

Five years have come and gone, but the passage of time has never filled the hole Kevin left behind. His absence is still felt by his family, his friends, his brothers and sisters in law enforcement, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Kevin’s service, friendship, and memory will never be forgotten. Today, we honor the life he lived, the people he touched, and the sacrifice he made in service to others.

Rest easy, Kevin. You may be gone from our sight, but you will forever remain in our hearts.

Gone, but never forgotten. 💙🖤💙

As we unlace our boots, remove our badges, and return home to the embrace of our families today, we are reminded that this is a privilege—not a promise. Too many in our profession never get that opportunity.
The Branch County POAM mourns the passing of Director Joseph Scheid and extends our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and every man and woman who had the honor of serving under his leadership.
Today, we remember Director Scheid's service, his commitment to those he led, and the lasting impact he leaves behind. May his memory be a blessing, and may we never take for granted the opportunity to come home at the end of our shift.
Rest easy, Director Scheid. Your watch has ended, but your legacy will endure.
