Coleman Fire Department We provide structural and wildland fire protection for the City of Coleman and Coleman County.

We also provide technical rescue, initial hazmat response, and respond in any capacity needed.

The burn ban for Coleman County is in effect. No outdoor burning is allowed at this time. Outdoor cooking, such as with wood grills and smokers, is still allowed. Keep a close eye on embers and ash, as fires can easily start accidentally.

Until 2 P.M. the Coleman County Firefighters Association is selling pulled pork sandwiches, chips, a cookie and a drink by donation, at the Coleman Country Club! Yall come get a plate and hangout or take one to go!

*Update : Containment line has been placed around the fire and a light precipitation has been falling on the fire for about an hour. State and local resources have left for the evening and will be back out in the morning to patrol*

*Update @ 648 PM. Fire containment is increasing. Apologies for the lack of updates. Everyone who can post is fighting fire*

Multiple departments in the county are working a large and aggressive grass fire on Highway 283 North. TFS resources are en route as well

**Update at 735PM: forward progression has been stopped and fire is 25% contained**

**Update at 7PM: Fire size estimate has been reduced to 30 acres. More accurate numbers will be recieved as the fire perimeter is GPSd**

**Update at 630PM: TFS has updated the fire size to approx 100 acres at this time**

Multiple departments are working a wildfire on FM 2131 south of Highway 67. Please avoid the area. Law enforcement has been requested to divert personal vehicles due to smoke and fire conditions.
