POV: You joined the Air Force and your training has you in SEATTLE. 🌲✈️🌎

One thing I genuinely love about being in the Air Force is the opportunity to travel, even for training!

I was in Seattle, Washington for training, getting better at my job AND getting to experience a new place along the way.

Your opportunities aren’t always limited to where you’re stationed. Schools, training, temporary assignments, and missions can take you to places you may have never thought you’d go.

So if you’re in high school thinking…

“I want to get out of my hometown.”
“I want to travel.”
“I want to experience something different.”

👀 The Air Force might be worth looking into.

Get paid. Build a career. Learn new skills. See new places. 🌎

Use the benefits. Chase the opportunities. Make memories. Build your future.

If you’re gonna do it, enjoy it with ALL you have. ❤️‍🔥

Bryan left our Roseville office July 24 and graduated September 14!
When Airman Trujillo came to the office, he wanted to join the Air Force for the travel benefits and stability. He is now in his technical training school! 💪

4-Mile Ruck Evaluation 🎒
SERE Specialist Assessment & Selection Course (SSAS)
JBSA Lackland, TX

As a future candidate, your initial primary office will be the wide open spaces and your ruck will be your desk. A place to store your office supplies and safety gear. It would benefit you to add ruck preparation to your training. During the initial course at Lackland you will be need to be able to carry a 45-50lb ruck for 4 miles in under 55 minutes. You will be tested on a somewhat level surface. No running or shuffling allowed, but just a faster walk. The average ruck time for a graduate of SSAS is approximately 49-53 minutes to complete the 4 miles.

Start your training with a lower weight, such as 25-30 lbs. to let your body become accustomed to carrying the extra weight. Increase the weight in increments to avoid injury. Walking on hard surfaces like concrete or asphalt has a tendency to tear up feet and create undue stress to the knees and backs. Suggest looking for safe trails, paths, etc... along with having a training partner to motivate and keep you honest.

Note: Initially in training you will use an "Alice” type pack that has an external frame to help with the larger load and provides ventilation for your back. Outdoor stores would consider our pack a "Multi-day Ruck" that has a 50-80 liter capacity (3000-5000 cubic inches). To carry these larger loads safely the pack should have some type of frame, internal or external, good belly/waist band, and shoulder straps with a good chest/sternum strap. Best of Luck and !!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I have my very first Remote DEP member! 🎉

“What is Remote DEP?” Glad you asked! 😎

The Delayed Entry Program (DEP) is the time between joining the Air Force and leaving for Basic Military Training. During DEP, you’ll meet with me, train, learn about the Air Force, and prepare for your future career.

Most people do this process in person, but it can also be done remotely through the computer so family and friends can be there to witness your enlistment from our office!
That’s exactly what Kira did today. 🇺🇸

Congratulations, Kira! Welcome to the Air Force family. Now let’s get to work!

What a busy and exciting day! 🤩

📍 Rocklin High School hosted a beautiful Military Signing Day! As always, the Air Force JROTC did an outstanding job and looked incredibly sharp.

📍 Colfax High School held an amazing awards ceremony that truly touched my heart.
