What a great turnout at the Williamson County Republican Party Fall Picnic last night! I was encouraged to see so many supporters fired up and working hard to keep Republicans in office and stand up for our conservative values.

Thank you to County Mayor Andy Marshall, District 11 County Commissioners Eric McElroy and Marie Fellhauer, Franklin Alderman Greg Caesar, and Representative Lee Reeves for joining us.

Also enjoyed time with Jayne and Julian Bibb III, whose dedication to historic preservation has meant so much to Franklin.

Farmers are getting hit hard by rising diesel costs at the worst possible time—harvest season.

Louisiana, Alabama and Nebraska have already taken temporary action to give farmers and agricultural producers relief by easing restrictions on the use of dyed diesel.

As a farmer and former Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture, I know firsthand what fuel costs mean to a farming operation.

Tennessee should take a serious look at providing this same kind of temporary relief for our farmers during harvest.

I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund and an “AQ” rating for my commitment to defending the Second Amendment.

The choice in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District could not be clearer:

It was great to be in Williamson County with the New York/Nashville Business Alliance for an important conversation moderated by Jim Dickson.

Williamson County is one of Tennessee’s strongest economic engines, and its continued success depends on keeping taxes low, supporting businesses and entrepreneurs, investing in infrastructure, and making sure families can afford to live and work in the communities they call home.

As a farmer, veterinarian, business owner, and former Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture, I understand that strong communities are built by people willing to work, take risks, create jobs, and get things done.

We had a great time seeing supporters, meeting new friends, and spending time with the people of Humphreys County.
