Colleyville Heritage High School opened in 1996 with an enrollment of approximately 1200 students, grades 9 – 12.

This morning, the fire alarm was going off at GCISD's Transportation Building as bus drivers were arriving. The fire department is on the scene and staff is currently waiting for the all clear. However, all bus routes across the district will be delayed this morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Reminder: Monday, October 9, is a student and teacher holiday. This includes all schools except Collegiate Academy. The District office will remain open, and we will welcome everyone back to school on Tuesday, October 10. Enjoy the three-day weekend.

Join the GCISD Counseling team on October 24 in the Professional Development & Education Center to hear a presentation by the Stay on Track Coalition. From 6-8 p.m. parents will have the chance to learn about signs of drug and alcohol use. This presentation is for parents only.

On October 11, 2023, GCISD will administer the PSAT 8/9 to 8th graders and the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) to grades 9-11. Students in grades 8-11 will need to bring their charged GCISD-issued device and charger to school on 10/11.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has announced a temporary delay in the release of 2023 A-F accountability ratings for all districts and campuses across the State of Texas. The ratings were originally scheduled for release on September 28 and will now be delayed by approximately one month, according to the TEA’s press release.

Raptor visitor management system is experiencing a system-wide service interruption. The vendor is working to get the issue resolved as soon as possible. If visiting campuses, please bring your ID as we are manually checking in visitors. Thank you for your patience as the vendor works to resolve this issue.

A transformer blew and started a fire in a field by the 121 access road near Colleyville Heritage HS. We currently do not have power at CHHS, Heritage MS, Heritage ES, ECDC, and Heritage Annex buildings. The fire department is on the scene. Parents with students at ECDC or EDP are encouraged to pick up their children as soon as possible.

Did you know that absences from class result in serious disruption of a student’s learning experience?

Up to 8 days per year (4 per semester) may be excused by a parent note for missed attendance beyond medical, approved excused, and statutorily exemptions. Vacations taken during the school year will be coded as unexcused absences.

Effective 9/1/2023, Texas House Bill 114 requires a student to be placed in the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) if the student possesses, uses, or is under the influence of, or sells, gives, or delivers ma*****na, THC, or an e-cigarette to another person within 300 feet of school property or at a school-related event.
