Where I Stand on a Few Important Issues… šŸ“ššŸ«

As a candidate for Collierville School Board, I believe every decision should put our students, teachers, and public schools first.

🚫NO to School Vouchers

I support parents having choices in their children’s education, but not at the expense of funding our public schools. School choice matters, but we cannot weaken the schools that serve the majority of our students.

āœ…YES to Flexible School Scheduling

Every school has unique needs. I believe our schools should have the flexibility to create schedules that best support their students, teachers, and learning environments.

āœ…YES to Inclusion in Special Education

Every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and belong. When appropriate and supported by each student’s individual needs, inclusion in general education classrooms can create positive outcomes for students with disabilities and their peers.

My priority is simple: Strong schools, supported teachers, and opportunities for EVERY student to succeed.

Strong Schools. Strong Community.

It was an honor to be the float driver for such an amazing group of young musicians at the Collierville Homecoming Parade!

Seeing our students share their talents and bring so much energy to the celebration was a great reminder of what makes Collierville special.

Taking part in our community, supporting our students, and showing up for one another is what keeps our schools strong.

Proud to be part of it!

One of the most important parts of serving on a school board is listening. šŸ’¬šŸ“š

Listening to our students—their experiences, ideas, and hopes for their schools.

Listening to our teachers—the people who are in classrooms every day and understand firsthand what students need to succeed.

And listening to our community—the families, neighbors, and stakeholders who care deeply about the future of our schools.

Good leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about asking thoughtful questions, being present, listening with an open mind, and using what you learn to make informed decisions.

The arts matter. Music matters. And investing in opportunities for our students matters. šŸŽµā¤ļø

Supporting the arts in our schools means supporting creativity, discipline, teamwork, confidence, and opportunities for students to discover what they’re capable of. Last night was a great reminder of just how much talent, hard work, and dedication our young musicians bring to every performance.

There’s something special about seeing students take the field and bring music to life. šŸŽ¶šŸ„šŸŽŗ

I had an amazing night enjoying incredible music and performances and celebrating the students, directors, families, and supporters who make programs like these possible.

Listening and learning from our community is essential to serving well on a school board. Our parents, teachers, students, and neighbors each bring valuable perspectives—and good decisions begin with taking the time to hear them.

I’m grateful for every conversation, every question, and every idea shared with me. Strong schools are built when we listen, learn, and work together with a shared commitment to our students and their future.

Our PTAs have a seat close to the classroom. Their voices should have a meaningful connection to the boardroom.

PTAs are more than fundraisers and volunteers—they’re one of the strongest connections between our schools and the families they serve. They hear directly from parents, work alongside teachers and staff, and see many of the day-to-day needs of our students and school communities.

I believe our School Board should build an even stronger partnership with our local PTAs—not just when we need volunteers or support for an event, but as a regular way to listen and learn.

When the School Board, educators, parents, and PTAs communicate consistently, we have a better opportunity to understand the needs of each school and work together on solutions.

Strong schools are built by people who show up—even when it’s HOT! ā˜€ļøšŸ„µ

Showing up for our students, teachers, families, and school community contributes to the strong schools we all want for Collierville. Whether it’s lending a hand, volunteering, or simply being present, every effort matters.

Proud to roll up my sleeves (and break a sweat!) for our school community. šŸ’ŖšŸ“š

National Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. From many countries and backgrounds comes a shared story of family, perseverance, creativity, and community.

May we continue supporting schools and communities where every student and family feels welcomed, valued, and inspired to succeed.
