🏍Welcome to Colonial Beach Bike Fest 2026!🏍

On behalf of the Town of Colonial Beach, I want to welcome every rider, passenger, vendor, musician, volunteer, and visitor rolling into town for the 12th Annual Colonial Beach Bike Fest.

There is something pretty incredible about seeing our streets filled with motorcycles and visitors from all over the region. For four days, Colonial Beach gets a little louder, a little busier, and a whole lot more fun, and we are glad to have you here.

This year is particularly special as it coincides with our local school Homecoming Weekend, so slow down and enjoy our small-town Drifter Homecoming Parade Friday at 4:30 pm and help cheer us on for a win! 🖤💛

Bike Fest has become one of our biggest annual traditions, bringing thousands of people to our small waterfront town to enjoy the bikes, live music, vendors, food, local businesses, and some great riding along Virginia’s Northern Neck.

I especially want to recognize everyone participating in Friday morning’s Defenders of Freedom Ride. That ride is an important part of Bike Fest and a meaningful reminder that this weekend is about more than motorcycles. It is also about camaraderie, service, respect, and remembering those who have given so much for the freedoms we enjoy. 🇺🇸

While you are here, take some time to explore beyond Town Hill. Grab a meal or a drink at one of our local spots, walk the Boardwalk, enjoy the Potomac River, visit our shops, and get to know the community. I'm sure you'll keep coming back!

A huge thank you goes to the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce, the organizers, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, Town staff, law enforcement, fire and rescue personnel, and everyone behind the scenes who puts in the work to make a weekend like this happen. 👏👏👏

Most importantly, look out for one another, ride safely, respect our neighbors, support our local businesses, and have a great time.

Whether this is your first ride into Colonial Beach or you come back every year, welcome to our town.

Enjoy an incredible Bike Fest weekend!

Back in 2020 I asked a number of people, who represented what I love about Colonial Beach, to share what Drifter Pride means to them, and one of those special people was Bobby Duke. 🖤💛

You can watch his answer for yourself, but honestly it still underscores a lot of why I support Bobby for Town Council this November.

I have no doubt Bobby and I will not agree on everything, and that is okay. What I do know is that he understands and shares Drifter Pride. Pride in our kids growing up here now, pride in the generations who came before us, and pride in what this Town can continue to be for the generations coming behind us.

I have seen Bobby advocate for kids through the Westmoreland County foster family program. I have watched him work with people across all parts of our community as Parks, Recreation and Events Director while helping build and shape a new department. And I see him supporting his own boys at Drifter High School and Middle School events.

I think it is really important that Town Council represent different stages of life, different experiences, and different perspectives. Bobby brings a perspective rooted in multiple generations of Drifter Pride. He knows the history of this Town, he has roots here, and he also wants to keep working to make it better.

And if we are lucky, maybe the fact that he does stand up comedy on the side will come in handy during a few Council meetings. 😄

I am proud to support Bobby Duke for Town Council this November. 🖤💛🗳🇺🇸

How incredible is it to see our local Osprey making headlines in not one, but two nationally recognized environmental publications!!!📢

The Chesapeake Bay Journal and Audubon Magazine have both highlighted the challenges facing Osprey populations in the Chesapeake Bay, with Colonial Beach and the work being done here helping to tell that important story. It's an honor to see our community contributing to research and awareness that reaches readers across the country.

A huge thank you to the Virginia Osprey Foundation for their tireless dedication to environmental education, conservation, and preservation. Their work monitoring nests, collecting valuable data, educating the public, and advocating for the health of our waterways and wildlife is making a real difference.

We're proud that Colonial Beach continues to play a role in protecting one of the Chesapeake Bay's most iconic birds. Here's to continuing the work together to ensure future generations can enjoy the sight of Osprey soaring over our beautiful Potomac River.

Thank you to everyone who volunteers, supports, and champions conservation—you are helping write a success story for our environment and our Town. 🪶🏖🌊🦅
