Through my work in law enforcement, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is for a child going through a difficult situation to have a trusted adult in their corner. That’s one of the reasons serving on the Board of Directors for CASA of the Fourth Judicial District, representing Anderson County, means so much to me.
CASA of the Fourth Judicial District serves Anderson, Coffey, Osage, and Franklin counties, recruiting and training volunteers who are appointed by the court to advocate for children navigating the court system.
And when we talk about these kids, we’re talking about our kids — children from the same small towns and communities we call home, right here in Anderson County. ❤️
As the caseload grows, so does the need for volunteers willing to be that steady, trusted person in a child’s corner. If you’ve ever considered becoming a CASA volunteer, or would like to support CASA through a donation, please reach out.
There are a lot of ways to make a difference in the world. CASA gives you the opportunity to make one right here at home.
❤️🤍💙CASA Across the Fourth has officially arrived in Anderson County!❤️🤍💙
We set up our Anderson County CASA Across the Fourth display and information table yesterday at Anderson County Hospital, and I have to say—we are REALLY excited about this one!
CASA Across the Fourth is our traveling awareness display and information station, created to help more people learn about CASA and the important role our volunteers play in advocating for children in foster care.
For the next two weeks, visitors to Anderson County Hospital can stop by the display to:
💙 Learn what CASA is and how volunteers advocate for children in foster care
❤️ Pick up information about becoming a CASA volunteer
🤍 Learn ways to support local children and families
💙 Take home brochures and contact information to share with others
Anderson County is an incredibly important part of the work we do. As our CASA program continues to grow, we want to make sure more people in the county know who we are, what we do, and how they can be part of helping children in their own community.
We are so grateful to Anderson County Hospital for being the first stop for our Anderson County display and for helping us get this county-wide effort off to such a great start! ❤️
We can't wait to see where the Anderson County banner travels next!
