Summer is here, and while routines may change, learning can still be part of everyday adventures!

This is a great time to brainstorm simple and meaningful ways to keep your student engaged and curious throughout the summer. Learning doesn't have to look like worksheets or classrooms—it can happen while reading together, cooking a new recipe, exploring nature, visiting local museums, keeping a journal, building something creative, or asking questions about the world around us.

The goal isn't perfection; it's creating opportunities for curiosity, discovery, and growth. Small moments can make a big impact.

As we settle into our summer schedules it's a great time to reflect on some of the amazing things that happened at D2 during the last school year. One of our defining moments was celebrating the official ribbon cutting for the newly named Dr. Pamela Robinson Education Center. Here's a look back at some of the special moments from that day!

Attention current 7th graders moving into 8th grade and current 8th graders moving into 9th grade who may be interested in participating in a summer Girls Basketball program starting May 25th...

We are excited to introduce students to our new Harrison High School Girls Basketball Coach, Jeff Hampton! The program he is building offers a great opportunity for students to develop their skills, build confidence, and start connecting with the high school basketball program early. We would love to encourage as many girls as possible to take advantage of this opportunity as they prepare for the upcoming season and future years.

Make sure to check out "Teen Nights" this summer at the Family Success Center located at 1520 Verde Drive. The events are scheduled to run from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. There will also be free food and drinks. Events are scheduled for May 29th, June 12th/26th, July 17th/31st, August 7th/14th. We hope our community has a fun and safe summer.

At D2 we have school leaders who know their students, care deeply about them, and celebrate their success. We are grateful for principals who show up for kids every day, not just at graduation, but throughout their entire journey.

SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP: We are excited to invite your child to the Harrison High School Summer Basketball Camp this June! This camp is a great opportunity for boys and girls in grades K–8 to develop basketball fundamentals, build confidence, stay active, and have fun learning from our HHS coaching staff and players.

Dates: June 17th & June 18th
Time: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Location: Harrison High School Gym
Cost: $25
Open to Boys and Girls, Grades K–8
