ROCKET DAY 2026: Can you tell by these smiles our students were excited about Rocket Day!

After working hard to engineer and design their rockets, it was finally time for launch day! Their rockets flew into the sky, deployed a parachute which helped it land safely in the grass at Memorial Park!

What an awesome experience for our students to become real rocketeers! Thank you to all of the D2 staff, industry partners, and volunteers who made this possible.

What a fantastic Friday at Monterey! 🎉
🩺 Third graders were Distributive Doctors, applying the distributive property to solve math problem.
🥬 Fifth graders harvested lettuce from the school’s Flex Farm and shared samples as a side salad with lunch.
📚 It was also Dolly Day, so the Dolly Cart spread smiles to our teachers throughout the day.
Learning, growing, and celebrating all in one day at Monterey! 💙
