🇺🇸 Labor Day: Honoring the American Worker 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate Labor Day, a holiday dedicated to recognizing the hard work, dedication, and achievements of workers across our nation. Labor Day traces its roots to the labor movement of the late 1800s and became a federal holiday in 1894, honoring the contributions working men and women have made to America's strength, prosperity, and well-being.

At AMR Colorado Springs, we are especially proud of the EMTs, Paramedics, Dispatchers, Mechanics, Supervisors, Support Staff, and all first responders who serve our community every day. While many enjoy the holiday with family and friends, our dedicated crews remain ready to answer the call 24/7, providing compassionate care when it matters most.

This Labor Day, we thank not only our AMR team members, but all workers whose commitment keeps our communities moving forward.

As we celebrate, remember: ✅ Stay hydrated
✅ Wear sunscreen
✅ Take breaks in the shade
✅ Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke
✅ Celebrate responsibly

Happy Labor Day from AMR Colorado Springs! 🚑💙

The Labor Day Lift Off's 50th Anniversary is well underway, and the excitement started long before sunrise! At 5:30 AM, AMR standby team Bailey Eichers and Ariel Payne were on site, bright-eyed, energized, and ready for whatever the day might bring.

A huge congratulations to Lyssa Rauenzahn and Brooke Koback, who were selected to take an unforgettable balloon ride! They were filled with excitement, anticipation, and just a few nervous butterflies as they prepared to soar above this incredible event.

Here's to a memorable weekend filled with beautiful balloons, lasting memories, and community spirit!

☀️ Safety First While You Enjoy the Festivities!

As temperatures rise and the celebrations continue, please remember:

💧 Stay hydrated and drink water throughout the day.
🌳 Find shade when needed and take breaks from the sun.

🚨 Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and seek help if you or someone around you begins feeling unwell.
